To delve deeper into our team’s loyalty, we asked Peter van der Westhuizen, our director of business enablement, along with Juanita Arbee and Sanri Odendaal, two of our business development executives, some questions.

This ensures we work as a team to exceed customer expectations.

Peter: We continuously involve team members in developing innovative cash management solutions. It’s no secret that every touch point with a client provides vital feedback to the end-to-end solution, and valuing everyone’s input is crucial to achieving the best outcome. The Deposita leadership also follows participative models and open-door policies, creating a space for everyone to have open, honest discussions.

Sanri: Management really supports new or ongoing initiatives I come up with. My line manager, Celeste Harmse, and director of business enablement, Peter van der Westhuizen, really bring me comfort – knowing that no matter the challenge, they’re there to guide and encourage me to be the best at what I do and the best version of myself. Their extensive industry knowledge and willingness to share greatly help my career. They drive and encourage my passion for my job.


Juanita: Deposita, through innovative training concepts both internally and through external support, has boosted my confidence and equipped me with effective sales techniques. The company’s investment in my MBA is a significant step toward enhancing my leadership capabilities and future opportunities. Continuous mentoring and upskilling from my line management also help me stay informed about market changes and effective adaptation.

 Sanri: Deposita supports me in my daily work by always giving me the comfort that I can reach out in times of need or uncertainty. It’s important to continuously grow professionally and drive yourself to reach your career aspirations. Thanks to the last 13 years, I have been allowed to go through the stepping stones of personal growth, which has taught me valuable life lessons to excel in my career aspirations.

Sanri: I have a great passion for what I do, and receiving this award has left me feeling appreciated and valued. It makes getting up in the morning, and doing it all over again, worth it!

Sanri: A couple of years ago, I had a customer enquire about our devices. She wanted to look at a Deposita cash solution because her staff was stealing from her manual banking system. I went through all the advantages with her, and she ended up taking a Protector 3 000 d-s2. She called me about a month after starting to use it and thanked me for the amazing product. Her staff were no longer stealing from her, all cash was accounted for, and she actually went so far as to say that we ensured she wouldn’t need to close her doors.

Once customers start using our solutions, they really feel more at ease about banking their money, with some even going so far as to say it saved their businesses!

Peter: Be innovative. Never be afraid to speak your mind and raise ideas or areas of improvement. Enjoy it!

Juanita: To remain focused, embrace continuous learning, build relationships through networking with colleagues within the various departments, communicate openly, set clear goals, maintain a work-life balance, and be proactive.

Sanri: No question or suggestion is ever stupid. Reach out should you be unsure, and – this is very important – share your successes! 

Juanita: I am enthusiastic about the role I can play in driving innovation, supporting sustainable practices, and contributing to the company’s growth.

Sanri: I work with a bunch of seriously clever people. What excites me most is that no suggestion or initiative is ever seen as irrelevant or impossible. My team is always willing to assist to exceed customer needs and expectations.
